Sevilla overcame a serious-looking injury to talisman Lucas Ocampos to beat Getafe 3-0 in La Liga on Saturday after the visitors were reduced to 10 men after a horror tackle by defender Djene Dakonam on the Argentine.
Striker Munir El Haddadi slotted home a delightful pass from Joan Jordan to break the deadlock in the 67th minute after Djene was shown a straight red card for treading on the left ankle of Ocampos, who was carried off the pitch on a stretcher.
Sevilla coach Julen Lopetegui and Getafe manager Jose Bordalas clashed on the sidelines in reaction to the foul and were both sent off, while the incident led to nine minutes of added time being played.
New signing Papu Gomez doubled Sevilla's lead in the 87th with a long-range strike that took a big deflection and striker Youssef En-Nesyri then added a third two minutes later. The win takes Sevilla up to third on 42 points, eight off the pace.
